Run the store

Wholesale (B2B)

Manage business buyers and the prices they pay, where the rest of your store already lives. Companies, their locations and contacts, custom per-location pricing, and the payment terms each one buys on.

What it needs

B2B is a Shopify Plus feature, and it needs permissions that are only granted when you connect or reconnect the app. The screen checks both and tells you which is missing — on a non-Plus plan it says so plainly; on Plus without the permissions it asks you to reconnect. Neither case is an error page.

Partner development stores are treated as eligible, so agencies can set everything up before a client's Plus store is involved.

Companies

The companies list shows each buyer with their locations, contacts, order count and total spent, and searches across them. Creating a company takes a name and an optional external ID and note.

A company's detail screen holds its locations, its contacts, and the roles each contact holds at each location — add a contact, assign a purchasing role, and the buyer side of the relationship is set.

Wholesale pricing, per location

  • Percentage adjustment — a discount or markup applied across the catalogue for that location. One call sets up the price list behind it.
  • Fixed prices— an exact per-variant price that overrides the percentage for that variant, in the price list's currency.

A location's pricing panel shows the current adjustment and how many fixed prices sit on top of it, and drilling in lists every fixed price for review or removal.

Payment terms and draft orders

Each location can carry its own payment terms — net periods, or checkout-to-draft for buyers whose orders you review before they pay. Terms are managed from the same location panel as pricing.

When you build a draft order you can link it to a company, location and contact, so a quote you send converts into an order filed against the right buyer with their pricing and terms attached. Linked drafts carry a B2B badge in the list.

Keeping in sync

Company, location and contact changes made in the Shopify admin arrive by webhook, and a nightly pass reconciles anything missed — editing a company in either place is safe.
